Lack of Informed Consent

A lack of informed consent is when a physician fails to give the patient the proper information about risks associated with the procedure. If you sign a consent form, that does not necessarily mean that you do not have a case. There has to be a direct communication between you and your doctor as to the risks associated with the case. If the risk is not discussed with you and occurs, then you may well have an informed consent case against the doctor.
